Dr. Samar Shaikh is a diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology and Implant Dentistry. She is an assistant professor at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in Boston, MA and maintains a part-time associate position at a private practice in Portland, Maine. She was the recipient of the 2021 American Academy of Periodontology Foundation educator award for excellence in teaching and mentoring in periodontics. She is a contributing author for the textbook “Clinical Cases in Periodontics” and the electronic version of “Carranza’s Clinical Periodontology” and lectures nationally on topics related to hard tissue augmentation and muco-gingival defects.
